We worked closely with a returning client to supply them with an ATEX-certified Diaphragm Pump for their application, which included solid-laden fluids. We were able to supply a high-quality Diaphragm pump, strengthening our long-term relationship with the client.

Application

One of Tapflo UK’s biggest customers returned to us for another quality pump solution. They were looking to efficiently pump heat transfer fluids containing solids.

Additional requirements of their application included:

  • Able to handle solids of up to 3mm
  • A suction lift of up to 1m
  • ATEX Zone 2 rating (the application may have hazardous materials or there may be a presence of hazardous environments/areas)
  • Able to transfer 5mat 2 Bar
  • Fluid temperature needs to be maintained at 85°C

Pump Solution

Tapflo knew exactly which pump would be ideal for the application, and suggested a 1” Aluminium Diaphragm Pump with PTFE diaphragms and valve balls for longevity.

ATEX metal Diaphragm Pump specs (smallest model T25):

  • Max Capacity: 26 (l/min)
  • Volume per Stroke: 45 (ml)
  • Max Discharge Pressure: 8 (bar)
  • Max Suction Lift Dry: 1.5 (m)
  • Max Temp with PTFE: 110°C

Our ATEX Diaphragm Pump was supplied with Filter Regulator Kits, Air and Liquid Kits for future maintenance. If properly maintained, Tapflo Diaphragm Pumps will have a long life due to the design and manufacturing quality that Tapflo provide.
